a fantastic week! We organized this tour ourselves direct with a
Chinese tour company. It started with a 24 hr train ride to
Guilin. Four great days touring around Guilin and Yangshuo and finishing back in Shanghai....

The train ride was great and "really really" exciting.
Stimulating conversation was critical to surviving the trip.
It went something like this :
Bengt: There is a rice paddy.
Bengt: There is a rice paddy.
Bengt: Oh look, another rice paddy.
Greg: Hey Joe, Joe, Joe
Joe: What?
Greg: There's a rice paddy.
Joe : Hey, look is that the Himalaya’s?
Greg: No it’s a rice paddy
Joe : Ok, it's a rice paddy!
Joe: What time time is it?
Greg: Two minutes after the last time you asked.
Joe: Hey look a rice paddy
Greg: yeh yeh
Joe : But this is a really good one!
Joe : Hey Greg, is that a naked woman standing on that verandah over there?
Greg : Jumps up to the window to take a look. No it’s another rice paddy. (Smacks Joe in the head)
Joe: Oh sorry, my mistake. Hey Greg, what time is it?
Greg: Two minutes after the last time you asked.
Joe: Hey Greg, what time is it?
