Mossman Gorge Located 40 mins drive North of Cairns, Mossman Gorge is a rainforest gorge with easy walking trails and great swimming holes (guaranteed free of crocodiles.). Modest entry fee and well worth a visit. Allow 2-3 hours to walk all the trails at a leisurely pace plus 40 mins travel time in each direction from Cairns. It will be hot and humid so bring plenty of drinking water. The town of Mossman has cafes open for lunch. There is a small kiosk at the gorge that sells cold drinks and icecreams. |
