NACAA - National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers

I attended the 2026 NACAA conference in Tamworth and delivered a presentation on "Continued Enjoyment of Visual Observing for Astronomers with Aging Eyes."

The presentation examined two main causes of lost night vision with aging, reduction of maximum pupil dilation and slowing of rate of dark adaption and loss of sensitivity.  I then presented some techniques that can mitigate some of the losses of low light  sensitivity that occur with advancing age.

The following zip file contains a series or bundle of 5 short articles covering all the aspects of that presentation.
